Use this radio wire harness when replacing your factory radio with an aftermarket radio while retaining most or all factory features. This interface allows the replacement of a factory radio in select General Motors vehicles with 29-bit LAN radios. Provides accessory power (12-volt 10-amp). Provides NAV outputs (parking brake / reverse / speed sense).Retains audio controls on the steering wheel. Retains OnStar / OE Bluetooth. Retains the factory backup camera.
Retains RSE (rear seat entertainment). Can be used in non-amplified or analog/digital amplified models. Retains balance and fade (excluding digital amplified models).
This interface will also work in vehicles listed below that are not equipped with OnStar. The steering wheel audio retention feature works on most brand name radios with the 3.5mm or wire input for steering control in the back of radio. Won't work with some 2012 and newer models with Factory Navigation- see below. Chevrolet Express vans & GMC Savannah vans equipped with diesel engines are not compatible. If the vehicle comes equipped with factory navigation in the 2012 and up models, you must use either the GMOS-LAN-08 for non-amplified models, or GMOS-LAN-07 for amplified models, along with the ASWC-1.The item "GM OnStar/Chime/Steering Wheel Audio Car Radio Replace Wire Harness Interface" is in sale since Thursday, October 18, 2018.
